Are wireless cameras any good?
They can look fine but they rely on Wi Fi and power points, drop out more, and are easier to compromise. We install hard wired Cat 6 cameras because they are reliable and stay online.
Will I get alerts on my phone?
Yes. We set up live view, playback, and push notifications on your phones. We use line cross and intrusion detection so you get smart alerts, not noise, and we test them on every user before we leave.
How clear is the picture and does it work at night?
Most systems we install are 4K and very clear when placed correctly. At night we use low light cameras and, where helpful, models with built in lights so you keep colour and detail.
Can I capture number plates?
Yes, at the right spot and speed with the right lens and angle. We will design for faces at the door and plates in the driveway so you get useful evidence, not just wide roof shots.
Are these systems easy to hack?
Cheap Wi Fi cameras are risky. We hard wire, use strong passwords, current firmware, and safe remote access. To date we have never had a client recorder compromised.
Do I need internet for it to work and what about blackouts?
Recording continues 24 hours a day even without internet. You need internet for remote viewing and alerts. We can add battery backup so your recorder and modem stay up during an outage.
How long is footage kept and can I back it up?
We size storage for about 21 days of continuous recording. Backing up is simple. Save clips to a USB or your phone and we show you how at handover.
Can it integrate with my alarm or intercom?
Yes, with supported brands we can link events and open doors or gates from the app or handset. We will confirm what is possible on your site.
How many cameras do I actually need?
Most homes start with four to six. We cover the front door, driveway, side access, and the rear yard, then add a tighter lens where faces or plates matter.
What happens on install day and how long does it take?
We walk the site with you, protect surfaces, run neat cabling, label everything, set up the app, and train you. Four to six cameras is usually one day with two techs.
What does a typical investment look like?
It depends on the gear and the cabling. As a guide, when we supply and install three or more cameras you are often in the six hundred to one thousand per camera range. We price your site clearly so there are no surprises.
Are you the cheapest and what do you not do?
We are not the cheapest and we do not install bargain Wi Fi kits or random gear bought online. We focus on quality systems, clean wiring, proper setup, and long term support with a 2 year workmanship warranty. If you just want the lowest price, we are probably not the right fit
